Five Minute Friday

Lyla started holding things this week and can turn herself on her belly, it's like warp speed with this baby girl. The most exciting thing for the boy is that it's shark week! He knows a ton about sharks already so he is in heaven. He and Elle have made shark week posters and taped them up around the house. He also had a fun dude hang out at Barton creek with his buddy JT that's moving next weekend. We are preparing for some seriously hard good byes. Elle had a baking play date on Monday and went to a skating birthday party Saturday, first time sharing and she loved it.  The three big kids had a daddy date last night. Daddy took the four girls adventuring Sunday while Rylan had his dude time and I got to spend some time at Anthropologie!! I thought the summer would drag but we are already at Fourth of July weekend. That means our biggest plans will be here in no time!

Summer is keeping the kids busy and mama tired. Lots of fun with friends, water, special treats, and more. Kenny and I even got a date night. We started the week celebrating daddy with his favorite things, Lyla got her ears pierced and Elle had her 7 year well check and Avila is starting potty training.

What a busy and fun week for the kids! VBS, Play dates, baseball game, backyard pool time, friends over. I'm exhausted!!! Lyla four months old, rolling over more often, she's 16lbs, and heaven on earth.

The first week of summer break has been packed with fun. Birthday parties, park, play dates, sprinkler, backyard pool, shopping spree via gift cards from a special friend, and more. Lyla is adjusting, sort of, to the new volume level and Avila used her potty for the first time. The three bigs are off to work with Kenny for half the day since they couldn't go on take your son/daughter to work day.

Five Minute...

I'm I missed Friday because I had a migraine on Thursday and the day after I always feel exhausted. We went to a fun pool birthday party and then I went to help a friend price things for her yard sale. The rest of the week was FULL of end of the year bustle and celebrations. Rylan and Elle's classes had awards in third classrooms and uneasy a proud beaming mom. Rylan got the friendship award, which his teacher said was the highest honor in the class and Elle got the right hand man/assistant from her teacher because she's always reliable and there to help. The last day of school was Thursday and we met up with friends for an ice cream treat after school! Hard to believe the school year is over and we are already all set for next year with school supplies, clothes, backpacks, and lunchboxes so we have several weeks to hang out, get bored, swim, roast, play, read, watch movies, stay up later, fun family visits, and nap ;) well that last part may not happen.

We had a great weekend celebrating Elle's 7th birthday. Kenny finished the tough mudder banged up, scrapes, bruises and sore but completed!!! The little girls were sick this week and Avila has pneumonia. I have a cold too but it's not getting the best of me. Another birthday party tomorrow and hopefully having Monday off we can get caught up on chores and maybe a tiny bit of down time before the last three days of school. I think all the kids are sad the year is almost over. I have mixed emotions about it. I'll be happy to not have the get up and go so early but it is a lot of  hours to fill in the day when I can't safely take them all to a pool. So ready or not by next Friday we will have a kindergartner, second grader and third grader. How did that happen??!!

Five minute Friday

Today is Elle's 7th birthday! I'm so lucky to be her mom. A daughter that I truly enjoy talking to and love to watch grow. It's also field day at school and they are all pumped. Kenny is doing tough mudder tomorrow and I'm taking the kids to a birthday party. We will be wiped out by Saturday night. We had a great week with my friend here from California for a few days. Lyla rolled over once and giggled too. Love love love all the firsts! Now I'm off to write Elle's birthday letter and get the special day started!

It was a quick week but a good week. I had a fabulous Mother's Day on Sunday and was loved on by all the family!!! This week the girls made a cake just for fun, Lyla laughed for the first time, started school clothes shopping (deals too good to pass up), had lunch with Rylan, and starting to wrap up the school year. Just one week until we celebrate another birthday in our house, yay!

Today is Kenny's birthday! We had a nice quick breakfast this morning, maybe taking him to lunch unless his work friends beat us to it and of course In n Out for dinner! He is looking forward to trying the wave garden soon and we can't wait for our dude to get some time in the water!

It was a super fast week! We had fun at art night at the school, book fair week, running club, the girls were able to join for the last day, JoAnna came to hang out and even gave Kenny and I a date! Visits for mama with girlfriends, andthe red poppy festival.
