Five minute Friday

This last week has brought a lot of rain, always being reminded everything is bigger Texas! Elle's class had baby chicks hatch and she surprisingly held Snickerdoodle. Rylan's had Painted Lady butterflies come out of their chrysalis and then they released them. Avila had some virus that included fevers and a rash. Lyla and I both have little colds, hoping they stay that way. We have a mellow weekend ahead with the Poppy festival in Georgetown tomorrow, Rylan and I are going to having some solo time together and chores of course.

Five minute Friday

Lyla had her two month well check this week and she's a hefty 12lbs 6oz! She's doing great and the smiles she shares with us melt me in 2 seconds flat! Avila got stung by a caterpillar yesterday, that sucker got her pretty good, still tender today and left a mark perfectly of its body on her little hand :/ Since Kenny and Rylan are allergic to stinging insects and bees it made me nervous for her little two year old body. This girl is just gonna age me fast! Rylan is enjoying running club still and the big girls are helpful little mamas with Avila and Lyla.

Five minute Friday

Last night we enjoyed the second grade musical and Rylan was one of the four dancers during the last song, too cute! Rylan had two days of running club this week and loves it, a boy after my own heart. Elle lost her seventh tooth, she's all gums at this point :) Blake is learning so much and on her own practicing writing letters and numbers. Avila is done with binkies, it's going so much better than I was anticipating. She's a true toddler keeping me on my toes every hour she is awake. Lyla is eight weeks old today :/ Tonight  is the school carnival and the big kids are sooooo excited. Kenny is doing a stellar job at work and still comes home and is an incredible partner to me and a phenomenal dad, we are so fortunate. He is going to a men's conference tonight and tomorrow and I hope it's a so good for him. He rarely gets dude time so I insisted he go the whole time and not just for part because he was offering to stay home after I had been feeling overwhelmed and not sleeping very well this week. No sir, you are going the full time, we will manage even it its cereal for breakfast and lunch!

Oops

We had a good week with even some cooler temperatures. I very much appreciate those days the closer we get summer. It's no secret I hate the summer weather. Lyla is finally getting used to the car a little more which was a pleasant surprise on our trip down and back to San Antonio. It was great for Grandma Sugar to meet Lyla and to catch up with all the family down there. Elle has a field trip on Monday she is so excited for. Our neighborhood pool opened this weekend so the kids and Kenny braved the cold water while Lyla and I stayed dry and warm in a lounge chair. Hard to believe the kids have less than two months of school left, I'm definitely not ready for the heat or the "I'm so bored" comments that will start by the end of June. I had two mini girl nights this week. I do so appreciate my three hour breaks when they come!
